Studying at Keuda – A Working School

Keuda in Kerava – Sarviniitynkatu Campus

The Keuda school at the Sarviniitynkatu campus in Kerava is a vocational education institution offering training in various fields, with a strong focus on technology and transportation. A key aspect of the school is its practice-oriented approach, where students acquire valuable hands-on skills through real work assignments in authentic working environments.

In contrast to German technical or IT schools, Keuda places a stronger emphasis on career orientation and practical training from the very beginning. While in Germany theory and general education often dominate, Keuda consistently integrates practical learning with theoretical knowledge and aligns its programs closely with labor market needs.

Chantal and Melina spent the first one and a half weeks at the Keuda school, where they independently set up a Cisco router from scratch and connected it with a switch in a rack. They also participated in various activities – including a sports event in Tampere, a school competition in Turku, and a visit to the Rudus Safety Park in Espoo. Additionally, they received guided tours of both the Sarviniitynkatu and Nikkarinkuja campuses in Kerava.
